- Bitcoin addresses or transaction data
- Analytics or usage statistics
- Any form of user tracking
What We Store Locally
All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome’s storage API:
- Your selected fee priority preference (Low/Medium/High)
- Badge visibility settings (show/hide fee information on browser toolbar)
- Alert threshold settings for fee notifications
- Notification preferences (enabled/disabled)
- Cached Bitcoin fee data for performance
- Last update timestamp
- Anti-spam notification state to prevent duplicate alerts
This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any servers.
Third-Party Services
The Extension uses the following third-party service:
- mempool.space API: To fetch real-time Bitcoin network fee data
- We only request public fee information
- No personal data is sent to mempool.space
- Their privacy policy: https://mempool.space/privacy
Permissions Usage
The Extension requires certain permissions to function:
- Storage: Save your preferences and settings locally on your device
- Notifications: Send alerts when Bitcoin network fees drop below your threshold
- Alarms: Schedule automatic fee updates every 30 seconds
- Tabs: Open extension settings pages and external links (like mempool.space)
- Host permissions (mempool.space): Fetch real-time Bitcoin fee data from the public API
No permission is used to collect, track, or transmit personal information.
Data Security
- All data is stored locally on your device
- No data transmission to external servers (except API calls to mempool.space)
- No authentication or accounts required
- You can clear all data by uninstalling the extension
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data (via Chrome’s extension storage)
- Delete your data (by clearing extension data or uninstalling)
- Opt-out of notifications (via extension settings)
- Use the extension without providing any personal information
Children’s Privacy
The Extension does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age.
